Valley Center Stampede Rodeo Scholarship Program

The Valley Center Stampede Rodeo and Memorial Festival is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that awards thousands of dollars of scholarships each year. We are passionate about supporting the youth of our community and helping them reach their professional goals by encouraging and funding their educations. In addition to the scholarship that comes with the Miss Valley Center Stampede Rodeo Queen Title, we also award multiple scholarships per year to graduating seniors who volunteer at the rodeo and/or participate in FFA-related activities. SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS & AWARD INFORMATION:

    • Applicant must be a graduating senior in the application year. 
    • Applicant must be attending a 2 to 4 year college or university or a technical program/trade school in the fall of the application year.
    • Applicant must fully complete the Scholarship Application and answer the essay prompts as requested. 
    • Scholarship checks will be issued to the college, university, or trade school the Applicant is enrolled in for fall of the application year. 
    • Scholarships must be claimed (or a one time, one year extension request received) by August 1st of the year that the scholarship is received.
    • VCHS scholarship recipient(s) will be recognized at the VCHS Senior Awards night. 
    • Scholarship recipient(s) from other high schools may request recognition at their Senior Awards night and VC Stampede will make every effort to attend and present the scholarship. 
    • Scholarships will be awarded by the Board of Directors of Valley Center Stampede Rodeo, Inc.

  • All awards are at the sole discretion of the Board of Directors of Valley Center Stampede Rodeo, Inc. 

    The following criteria will be reviewed and weighted in the Board’s consideration of award:

    • Volunteer hours at the Valley Center Stampede Rodeo and Memorial Festival (or before / after the event for setup / takedown).  Contact Amber Burdick, Volunteer Chair at volunteers@vcstampede.com to sign up. 
    • Membership in 4H or FFA. 
    • Active in other equestrian activities. 
    • Essay responses.
